The Standard’s first Empire Supplement contains appreciations [from the Duke of Argyll, Lord Strathcona (Canadian High Commissioner), Captain Collins (Commonwealth’s Representative), Lord Tennyson, Mr Reeves (High Commissioner).

Mr Deakin stated that the cost of advertising in the Standard’s new supplement was £64 weekly whereof the Commonwealth was responsible for half.
