GREATFORD.
PARISHIONERS MEETING. . The annual meeting of the Pariahioners of St. Martin’s, Grcatford, took place at the church on 11th inst. Col. Gorton in the absence of a clergyman —as clergyman’s clvuich■warden, presided. Mr W. F. G. Levin was elected Parishioners’ Churchwarden, and the following were elected as Vestrymen -.—Messrs G. ' Glover, T. R. Willis, A. Fraser. L, M. Taverner, W. G. Moss, O. Stantiall and A. H. Bill. Mr Thos. King was re-elected auditor. , , The Chairman read the annual statement of accounts which showed a credit balance of £l3 2s 4d, which was owing to the post of Vicar not having been occupied for some time. The usual votes of thanks were accorded to the officials, including Mrs Bill, who has taken entire charge of the Sunday School, and Mr T. King, for auditing the accounts, and a special resolution was passed thanking Mr W. Lewis for his long service as Parishioners’ Churchwarden in the past. . , The feeling being that the parochial district of Bulls and Groatford had been greatly neglected, the following resolution was unanimously passed -.—That the Chairman write to the Bishop’s representative pointing out that we have had no service by a clergyman in the church since November 24th, 1907, and seeing that our congregation is rapidly dwindling, that he nse his best endeavours to obtain a clergyman for the parochial district of which this is a part, failing this, that he make arrangements to give ns a service once a month.
