FATAL COLLIERY EXPLOSION.

Press Association.—Copyright. Received February 22, 10 London, February 21. An explosion in the Glebe Colliery in the village of Washington near Sunderland, killed 14 out of 15 in the mine at the time. Great damage was caused to the mine and there were many falls in the workings. The explosion occurred at night. Usually 500 men are employed in the day time.
