Under Mr Haldane’s reorganisation scheme militia will contribute to an army expeditionary force 3340 cavalry, 10,337 artillery, 2435 engineers, 10,775 army service corps, 3098 medical corps, 541 veterinary, and 441 ordinance corps. Mr Haldane, Secretary of State fpr the War Department, in a speech at Glasgow, outlined a scheipe, which had Loon sanctioned by the .King, to organise the home army into six great divisions of three brigades each, 'with four brigades of cavalry and 1 artillery, and surplus batteries would J :J>e utilised in different parts of .the J country for training additional arbil- j lerymen, "
