Ike most .successful, ;:s well as most enjoyable day. of the picsent bowling season was on .Saturday, when no less than six rinks from tile Karori Glub visited Otaki to meet representatives of the local Club. Tire day was fine, and never before —-as far as tins season is concerned —has the green been in better order, fi had been thoroughly prepared and played splendidly. The visitors, who had a strong combination, were well beaten, but, nevertheless, they thoroughly enjoyed the outing. Of the twelve games played Olaki won seven, four were won by Karon, while one ended in a draw. The points scored were: Otaki 230, Kaiori find. The visitors were royally entertained throughout the day’, and besides a splendid luncheon at the Telegraph I Hotel wore treated to afternoon tea by tlie lady members of the Cloquet Club, i’rior to leaving Ni r G.
