Mrs Fisher, who lias been an inmate | of Mouterc Hospital, has left the inj stitution, greatly benefit ted. Mr and Mrs J. F. Brandon Maioi and Mayoress; are tit present spending 1 a most enjoyable lime at Rotorua. ! Mrs Walsh, w lie is still an inmate ol t Mouleie Hospital, due to a serious injury to her eye, is making good pro j gross, ami it is hoped that the sight j will not be alfected. ! The death has occurred of anold resident of Levin in the person jo! Mr James Leyden. aged 7ti. jin late Mr Ley don came to New Zealand from tlie North of Ireland in leG'.i, and alter 1 1 i- arrival was engaged I with ins brother, Mr Michael Leydon, j now of Hawera, in contracting tor a ! number ol years, doing a great deal a work tor the railways in the AA'airuiapa. Twenty years ago be came to • this district, and took up land on the j Kawiti Hoad, which he later sold and j made his residence in Levin. He was j unmarried, and was generally respected by ail who knew him. He ! was on very good terms with the Xat live race, and his relatives wish to j acknowledge the kindness shown by I them during his last illness, particuj lariy by Mr and Mrs J. Hurunui.
