OTAKI RIVER BOARD.

MONTHLY MEETING. The ordinarv monthly meet mg of the above was held in Messrs Harper ami At more's office last evening. Present: Messrs G. H. Harper (chairman), A. -B Podovin, Preston-Thomiis, IB B. Lethbridge, F. J. Ryder, ,T. Kobiusou. and Ben Ling. Correspondence was read from the Yeaiohiue and Palmerston North River Boards. That from the latter was considered too vague to work upon, while from the Waiohine Board it was .-i.'i.cd that the Board made a uniform rate, and rated on the annual value. Eulogistic reference was also made to the iutetvst Mr Harper had taken at all times in river work. .Mention was also made of the fine work done by both Messrs Thomas and Palmer.
