There was only a fair muster at the bowling green on Saturday and tin only game played was between town and country when the former won by several point.-.

! The official opening of the Shannon Club's green took place last week in perfect weather. The attendance of visiting bowlers wa.s a record in the history of the club, and the function wa. voted a great sueccss. The president (Mr W. McKegg) welcomed the visitors ajid expressed pleasure at the large attendance. He also congratulated those responsible for the preparations of the green, which was in very good playing order, and wished tho-r present a pleasant afternoon's play. Mis- McKegg. in the absence of the president's wife, rolled the first bowl, and the green was declared open.
