PROPOSED OTAKI RIVER DISTRICT. I pUESUANT to Section 6 of "The River Boards Act, 1908,” NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the petition, particulars of which are hereunder written, will be presented to HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR GENERAL at the expiration of one month from the date hereof, praying for the constitution of a RIVER DISTRICT, to be known as the OTAKI RIVER DISTRICT. The above proposed River District comprises an area of 3,8:12 acres, more or less, situated partly, in the Ilorowhenua County and partly in the Borough of Otaki. The District embraces lands on both banks of the Otaki River, and the boundaries arc approximately as follows: Commencing at, and including Part Section 10 and Wailioauga Part 4A. Block 4, Kaitawa, the boundary runs in a North-westerly direction by the South-western boundary of lot 3, IVaihoangu 18, to the point of its intersection with the Ruhui Road, thence along the Raliui Road to the Railway line at the Rahui Dairy Company’s Factory, thence along the Railway line in a South-westerly direction to a point opposite the AVaerenga Road, thence towards the sea, taking in several properties in the Kaingaraki Block, and striking the boundary of the previously ' existing Town District of Otaki, it fol- j lows that boundary until the AVestcrn ' boundury of the Old Race-courso is I reached, when it crosses the Otaki River in a Southerly direction, and tak- j ing in all the properties occupied by I Mr F. J. Ryder, runs in on direction to the overhead bridge over tho Main Trunk Railway line. Tho boundary runs thence along the Huutcrc Deviation Road, taking in all the
property of Mr G. H. Harper, and eventually striking the main Hauterc Koad at the corner of Mr William Fielding’s property. From that point it runs in an Easterly direction along the main Hautero Road until the Eastermost boundary of Mr Harry Fielding's property is reached, when the boundary crosses the Oiaki River and links with the point of commencement. The Petition will be open for inspection during offieo hours at the Borough Council Chambers, Otaki, during the period of ono month from the date hereof.
