♦ WEDNKSDA Y NIGHT. SALVATION NELL.” An absorbing picture of life is the Whitman Bennett production, “Salvation Nell,” to be shown at the theatre on Wednesday. Taken from the Edward S. Sheldon play of the same name, tliis picture version of “Salvation Nell” is a screen triumph. The locale is New Yolk’s East side, where amidst the tenements, tins saloons and dives th# Salvation Army works its wonders for humanity. Then from the scrub woman in a saloon she goes to the Ss! cation Arrny. How she effects the stl vat ion of her .Tim, after he is released from prison constitutes the dramatic denouement of this, extraordinary photoplay’. Pauline Starke gives a rnng nilicent characterisation of “Salvation Nell” iri the title role, and Joseph King is seen as Jim Platt.
