Gold- j smith, as temporary secretary to the , Horowhenua Hydro-Electric Power Board were confirmed at a meeting of the County Council on Saturday. It J was then decided that the Power Board pay the county at tiie rate of £250 a year for Mr Goldsmith’s services, the appointment to be subject to revision in six months. Mr Goldsmith was granted power to appoint a junior clerk immediately.
