ADDINGTON MAKKET. Christcnurcn, December 15. At Addington market to-day there were big yardings of all classes of stock, and a general easing in values | in most sections. Lambs were the one t exception. This class is selling well in J view of the 'Christmas season. J Store Sheep.—A full yarding and ajl poor demand, except for good forward f wethers. forward -1 and fj-tooth r wethers 27s to 29s lOd, fair 2-tooth wethers 2fs, cull and inferior 2-tooth j wethers 12s lOd to 17s, inferior 2-tooth | ewes 17s lpd to 22s Id, inferior -1 and ti-tooth ewes lis lOd, good ewes and lambs 17s 5d to 19s Id (all counted). ] Tat Lambs. There was a keen demand. Extra prime lambs 35s to 40s, prime lambs 32s to 31> t)d, medium lambs 2S= to 3is Od, light and "inferior 21s to 275. Fat Sheep.—A big yarding. The market was weaker than last week, particularly for ewe aud second-class mutton, and a fair proportion was passed. Prime wethers (shorn) 33s 6d to 3Sh, medium wethers 29s lid to 335, light and unfinished wethers, 26s to 28s Ud, prime ewes 28s to -Sis lOd, medium ewes 23s Sd to 27s Od, light and unfinished ewes 19s to 235. Fat Cattle.—A big yarding of 370 head. The mark'! was irregular, but kept fairly up to last week's rate;, vendors preferring to pass their stock rather than accept much lower values.
