WEDDING
MICKELL—ADAMSON. The Levin Presbyterian Church vras the scene of a pretty wedding on Friday last. August 6th, the contracting parties being Mr Gordon Robert Miekeli, a returned soldier, and eldest, son of Air and Mrs D. Miekeli, old settler* of To Horo, but now resident in Levin, and Mis* Agn.es Simpson Adamson, of Jfontly. Scotland. The bride, who was given away by Air V. Miekeli, was charmingly attired in a wine-coloured costume with hat to match. Her bridesmaid* were Afis.se* Caroline and Kata McDonald, nieces of the bridegroom, who wore white dresses trimmed with blue silk. Both bride and bridesmaids carried handsome shower bouquets. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr H„ Miekeli,. as best man. The ceremony was' performed by Rev-, Bawden Harris, at the conclusion of which a -reception was held at the residence of ASr and Air- Ab-Donah-., of Tiro Tiro road, where a numerous company was entertained, and the health of the happy couple duly honoured. Later in the day Air and Air- AlickelJ, who were the recipients of numerous presents, left by motor for the sooth on their wedding tour, accompanied by a host of good wishes i or their future happiness and prosperity,-—•''Chronicle,”
