SERVICES APPRECIATED
NELSON E.P.S. WORK OF ORGANISER-SECRETARY A vote of thanks and appreciation of Mr E. J. Champtaloup's services to the Nelson E.P.S. as secretary-organis-er during the past three months was passed at last night's meeting of the Nelson Central E.P.S. Committee. The chairman ‘Kir J. A. Harley) paid a tribute to Mr Champtaloup’s enthusiasm and to the results from his work. He had been a great help to the chairman and to the organisation as a whole. Mr Champtaloup had carried out the work without monetary benefit to himself. and the work had cost him three months of his business lime. The speaker was sorry that Mr Champtaloup could not carry on the work. However his offer had been for three months, and that time had now expired. As a result of the organiser-secretary’s work Nelson now had an organisation which could be expected to operate reasonably well in an emergency. He would continue to fill the position of Chief Warden.
