Maunsell, S.M., Philip Ernest O’Malley was fined £l, costs 12s for failing to giv'e way to traffic on the right at the WaimeaHardy street intersection on the Bth August. Senior-Sergeant C. Petersen said it was not a serious case but a minor collision had resulted. Charged with unlawfully purchasing liquor on the premises of the Belgrove Hotel on the 25th July, a first offender who pleaded guilty was fined £2, costs 10s. Dorothy Elsa Wood was fined ss, costs 10s, for allowing a chimney in her residence to catch fire.
