FIGHTING INFLATION IN UNITED STATES
Washington, Aug. 25. President Roosevelt announced at a Press conference that forthcoming steps to control the cost of living would include stabilisation of farm prices and wages. The new antiinflation programme would probably be announced in a radio speech and in a message to Congress about Labour Day. The President added that the American people must expect to have to make tough sacrifices.—P.A.
