NELSON CITY COUNCIL XTOTICE is hereby given that at a b ' Special Meeting of the Nelson City Council held on the Bth day of January, 1931, it was resolved by Special Order that the Council make a By-law under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920. and its amendments. And notice is hereby given that the said resolution will be submitted for confirmation to _ an ordinary meeting of the said Council to be held at the City Council Chamber, Selwyn Place, Nelson, on Thursday, the sth day of February, 1931, at 7.30 p.m., at which meeting the date of the coming into force of the said By-law will be fixed. A full copy of the By-law is deposited at the Town Clerk’s Office, Trafalgar Street, Nelson, where the same will be open for the inspection of the public during office hours until the confirming meeting is held. The object and purport of the By-law is (1) To amend the By-law relating to hoardings and to make regulations as to the licensing and erection of hoardings and signs and the display of advertisements and to fix the license fees payable in respect thereof and to make provision for the revocation of licenses in case of default. (2) To amend the By-law relating to licenses by altering the time of expiration thereof from the 31st December to the 31st March. (3) To amend the By-law relating f o the definition and licensing of Itinerant Traders and .Hawkers and to fix the license fees payable in respect of such licenses. (4) To amend the By-law relating to the building line, of properties exempted from the provisions of section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, so far as such By-law relates to Wakatu Lane.
