SHEEP WORRIED
BY ALSATIAN DOGS (By Telegraph—Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH. This Day. Severe losses have been inflicted upon shecpownqrs in the Styx district lately by the depredations of Alsatian dogs. One man is reported to have, last about 19 ewes, valued at about £35, in.one night. Another owner also lost a number of sheep valued at about £2 a head. Mutters came to n climax tho other day when a big Alsatian bitch was caught in the act of worrying u ewe and she was promptly shot.
