CONVERSATIONS CONTINUING

(Official Wireless) RUGBY, 12th July.' Conversations which are continuing between the Prime Minister and tlie United States Ambassador, Mr Dawes, in regard to naval disarmament, have so far only 1 dealt with matters of procedure. The importance of reaching general agreement is such that special care is being taken in preparing the lines: upon which future negotiations shall follow, and no dramatic development in the situation is therefore to be expected. Nevertheless no time is being lost in pressing 4 forward with the necessary preparatory work.
