IN pursuance of the provisions of The Municipal Corporations Act, 1876, and The Regulation of Local Elections Act, 1876, I hereby give notice that an ELECTION to fill the office of MAYOR of the City of Nelson will ba held on WEDNESDAY, the thirtieth day of November, 1881, and I ereby appoint the Town Clerk's office as the place, and Tuesday, the twenty-second day of November, 1881, as the time, for the Nomination of Candidates, Candidates muet be nominated in the following manner:— A nomiuation paper in the prescribed form signed by two persons entitled to vote at such election and also by the Candidate must be addressed to the Returning Officer and delivered at the said office before noon of the said Twentysecond day of November. Each Candidate must also at the time of the nomination deposit with the Returning Officer the sum of ten pounds in terms of Section 52 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1876.
