London, Sept. 27. Consols hare advanced $, and are quoted to-day at B 9*. New Zealand securities remain firm at previous quotations. The tone of the wheat market is Srm with an upward tendency. Adelaide wheat iex store remains at 50s. New Zealand wheat' ex store at 565., being an advance of Ib. Adelaide flour ex stora 425, or an advance of 6d. Australian tallow, best beef is unchanged at 42s ; best mutton has adtanced 6d to 45a. The market is strong. At the wool sales today 8200 bales were catalogued, and a fair demand was experienced. -Five of the prisoners who were arrested under the provisions of the Irish Coercion Act ware to-day released. Among the number was the Hey. father Sheehy who was atremed in May last. September 28, The announcement contained in Monday's Standard that the Transvaal Volksraad had refused to ratify the Anglo-Boer Convention is not confirmed. Telegrams received to-day from the Cape report that the Volksraad is still discussing the Convention, but the speeches of the members have so far been hostile to its ratification.
