The 6urp!ua shall b^ divided in proportion to the loading contributed by each policy-holder, Bobject to a deduction of a year and a halt's loading. In the case of policies under table 2 only the equalised loading ia to be taken into acoouut, the share of each policy-holder thus determined shall be converted by the H.M. (5) 4 per cent single premiums ioto a ievemenary bonus, to be added to the sum assured, which bonus may be exchanged at any time for one of the following benefits : —A temporary reduction of future premiums or a permanent reduction ef fntore premiums, such exchanges to be calcalatjd by the H.M. 4 psr cent tables. Eeversionary bonuses shall veit as from 30th June, 1880. EfvereioDary bonusea may be surrendered for cash, the surrender value to be calculated by the H.M. 5 per cent tables. Sir G. Grey gave notice that he would esk that a bonus for encouraging oetrich farming ic New Zealand be provided for. On Mr Hall's motion that the House on risio? adjourn to 1] o'clock on Monday, Mr Gisborne suggested for the consideration of the Government two points connected v»ith the Governor's absence from the Colony. The first was that by the Constitution Act tha General Assembly was to consist of the Governor, the Legislative Council, and Hcu?e of Representatives. The Rabbit Nuisance Act Amendment passed, and the House adjourned at 5"30 p.m. The House resumed at 7*30 p.m. Some discusson took place on the Towns District Bill. After a division —Ayes, 43 ; Noes, 15 ;— the Bill was ordered to be considered in Committee on Monday. A motion was carried to go info Committee on the Railway Construction and Land Bill, Mr Murray opposing the Bill. After a discussion Clause 11 was agreed to. Clause 12 was carried after a, division of 30 to 20. The Clauses to the 46th were agreed to. Clause 48 was added to, giving the Government power to see, after inspection, that repairs, alterations, and additions be made to lines constructed by companies, necessary for the safety or utility of the lines. - CJause 48 was struck out on a division of 26 to 21. .....
