A private telegram haß been receired from London annooncing that John Hurley has completed the floating of the Burrum Company with a capital of £150,000, of which £10,000 is reserved for Queensland shareholders. The scheme include* tbe purchase of the principal mine near Burrum and the establishment of a shipping depot at Fraser' 9 Island. Adelaide., Monday* Eight thousatd bags of wheat were sold to*>day at 5s 6d. Fleur is quoted at £11 10s. 'Ihere is a good demand for breadstuff*, but higher prices are asked. MiLßoiravß, Monday. Arrived thii morning, P & 0 Company'a steamer Bokhara with the Suea mails which left London on the llth July. Tnesday. The Victorian Government, in view of the great increase of smal! pox in Sydney, is now taking further precautionary measures against the spread of the disease to this colony. A prospectus bas been issued here inviting subscriptions to shares to the amount of £30,000 in the Moke Creek Copper Company I at Wakatipu, New Zealand.
