The Bchooner Albatrosa, which arrived this rooming from the Islands, reports the wreck of the Auckland built brigantine Meg Merrilies, which left Suva {for Ltvuka io command of Captain Hughes, and when beating along the reef on the other side of the former harbor missed stays and went ashore, and was washed high and dry. All hands were engaged in dismantling her when the Albatroas left. The Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce telegraphed to the Premier and some Auckland members re the unfair representation of Auckland on the direct steam service committee, also urging the passing of b Rebate Act. A special meeting is to be held on Tuesday re the omission of the Government to place a sum on the Estimates for the completion of the railway terminus reclamation.
