The City of Sydney with the London mails of 19th uliiniOj left San Francisco for Auckland on Saturday, the 4th inst, her time table date. She should reach Auckland on Sunday the 26(b. The southern mail 9 will be brought over to Wellington direct from Onehunga. The Australia with the May colonial mails arrived at Bsn Francisco on the 15th, two days in advance of her date. New Plymouth, Thursday. Elder Sorrenson, the Mormon missionary, has left for Parihaka with a view to converting the natives there to his faith. Ciiristchurch, Thursday. The Agricultural Association have decided to offer a valuable prize at the next Exhibition for the beat sample of New Zealand twine for reapers and binders, Dunedin, Thursday. At the City Court, John Anderson alias Hunter, and Edward Hughes, alias Cowards, for the Christeh<rch jewellery robbery were further remanded. John Connell for receiving the same was committed for trial.
