"VTOTICE is hereby given that application J^l is intended to be made at the next Session Ox the General ' Assembly of New Zealand by petition for leave to bring in a Bill to incorporate Trustees of Property, held upon trust for the Church of Englaud, in New Zealand, and for other purposes. Copies of the Bill will be deposited in the Private Bill office on or before the commencement of the session. It is intended to empower the General Synod of the said Church, and also the Synods of the several Dioceses in regard to properties respectively under the control of such Synods to make regulations for the appointment and removal of Trustees of such properties, and generally to regulate their proceedings. To validate existing regulations of Synod in reference thereto. To constitute such Trustees or bodies corporate with a common seal and perpetual succession. To vest properties of the said Church subject to existing trusts in such bodies corporate. To confer upon such bodies corporate, subject to the control of Synod, powers of selling, exchanging, mortgaging, leasing and otherwise disposing of such properties. It is intended to repeal the following Acts : — "The Bishop of New Zealand Trust Act, 1858. No XVII." "The Bishop of New Zealand Trusts Act, 18G8. No VII." " The Church of Englaud Lands Building Leases Act, 1872. No L." But not so as to afliect property belonging to or held in trust for the General Synod. It is intended that the Bill when made law, shall come into force in the Diocese of Dunedin on the day of the passing thereof, and in any other Diocese by the proclamation of the Governor upon a petition from the Synod of the Diocese, wishing to bring the Act into force within such Diocese.
