The Murray sailed for Wanganui at noon to-day. The CKsules Edward will arrive from the "W^est .C.oait to-morrow morning, and sail same day at 10 p.m. for Wellington direct. The Kennedy arrived at Westport at 1 p.m. to-day, and will probably leave on same tide, for Hokitika. -TPhe'-Hftwea leaves Onehunga this afternoon, will. arrive .here to- morrow, and sail for. Pictori, Wellington^ and. Lyttelton. shortly after arrival. , . • > The Wanaka leaves Wellington at 1 . p.m. to-morrow, will arrive here on Friday morning, and sail at 3 pm. same day for Taranaki and Manukau. The Wakatu sailed for Wanganui shortly after uooa to-day, with excursionists for the races. The Arawafa will be the next steamrr for Melbourne leaving Wellington on Monday. Paspenpers leave here by ihe Hawea. The Grafton leaves Wellington to-night, will arrive here to-morrow, and sail at 2 p.m. same day for Westport and Greymouth. An exciting race is likely to take place , between the rival steamers Murmy and ] Wakatu, which sailed for Wanganui at noon to-day, the former having a few minutes start. The Hero was to leave Sydney for Auckland yesterday. From there she proceeds to Hokitika end .Greymouth, and thence to Newcastle, where she loads with coal for Melbourne^ The next of the Orient line of steamers for Plymouth will be the " crack " steamer Orient, which leaves Sydney on the 25th, and Melbourne on the 29th instant. One pasenger has booked from Nelson by her. The last opportunity of catching her will be by the Arawata.
