CORRESPONDENCE.

To tub Editor of the " Evening Mail." Sin, — Your contemporary has made a slight mistake in reporting tho Hardy-street fire. He states that two express loads of furniture were saved from the fire. The facta are that the wreck of Mr Webb's furniture was carried away in two trips by an express, and a most deplorable wreck it is as I can testify, having seen it to day.for beyond tho two sejwing machines and about five or six pieces of furniture, the contents of the parlor at t^ic back of the shop, all is either destroyed or scorched beyond repair. My reason for calling public attention to the reporter's mistake is that it might hinder aome from expressing practical sympathy with Mr Webb in his misfortune. I am, &c , J. PIfER.
