Town Clerk's Office, 14th February, 1881. f~] OMPLAINTS as to the scarcity of water \J having been received from residents in the higher parts of the City the attention of Water Consumers is called to the following clauses of the City By Laws :— No person shall, within the Borough, use any water for watering any garden, orchard, field, or oilier place, or .anything growing or being therein, or thereon, except between the hours of five and seven in the morning, and six and eight in the evening. Provided that nothing herein contaiued shall prevent any person from using auy water aa aforesaid i! such water shall be carried by hand in any pail, watering-pot, or other such vessel, and Bhall not be used wastefully, No person after the day upon which this By-law shall come into operation, shall, withiu the Forougb,have water laid on to any water-closet, or use any water where already so laid on, without the permission of the Council, and any apparatus for supplying water to any Buch water-closet shall be subject to the inspection and approval of the Inspector of Nuisances, and the Council may at any time revoke any such permission.
