The Intercolonial Conference to-day adopt ted resolutions that a request should be sent to the Imperial authorities that the number of the vessels of the navy in the Australian waters should be increased. The resolution of .the Hon. Mr Morgan, Chief Secretary of South Australia, in favor of an uniform tariff for the colonies based on that of New South Wales was brought forward, but at the instance of Mr Berry its discussion was adjourned until the rest of the programme is disposed of. The scheme for the regulation of Chinese immigration proposed by the Western Australia delegates, also occupied the attention ©f the Conference, but no definite resolution on the subject was adopted.
