We have subjected s. gample of the abovenamad article to a very careful chemical analysis and examination. The results of the tnalyiia, which are Be forth ia a separate report Bhow that this spirit is of good strength, practically free from acidity, tnd that it contains but' races of solid matter in solution. It possesses a dslicete and agreeable aroma, and a pure and mild taste. Sir,— l havo the honor r to report for your information that the sample of Imperial Schiedam Schnapps forwarded by you to me has been submitted to a searching chemical analysis and critical examination, the result of which enabfcß me to state that it is the Finest Sample of Schnapps that as yet come under my notice. It has a pure fragrant odour, and 1b absolutely free from any trace of fusil or other injurious impurity, and has evidently been distilled" from superior rye grain, always used instead of malt in the production of the | f:hoi(K«t qualities of Schnapps. It is very j smooth to the palate, and in thit respoct com- i part s favourably with other samples offered \ for *ale. It may ba advised as equally^ auit- ; ablo for medical or economic purposes.
