Consols are uncbaDged at 99-J. New Zealand securities have advanced by £ to 1 per cent, the following being to-day's quotations :—lfive per cent 10-40 loan, 102 ; Five percent 1889 loan, 104£ ; Four and a half per cenb 1879-1904 loan, 945. Adelaide and New Zealand breadstuffs are unchanged at last quotations. .Australian fallow : best beef, 34s ; best mutton, 36s 9d. Best Australian leather has advanced to Hid. The homeward Suez mail, which left Melbourne on September 15, was delivered in London to day. At the wool sales to-day, 8700 bales were offered, the tone of the sale generally being firm. Inferior and faulty wools of all kinds were, however, irregular. November 25. The total reserve in notes and bullion in the Bank of England is £15,875,000. New Zealand five per cent 10-40 loan 102 ; Five per cent 1889 loan 105. Best Australian leather U£<l, being £d lower. There is little enquiry for hides. Arrived — Ship Pareora, from Lyttelton. It has transpired that at a Cabinet Council held yesterday it was decided by Ministers that it is unnecessary to adopt measures of coercion for the suppression of the prevailing disorder in Ireland, as the Government has sufficient power under the existing laws to deal with the agitation. It was, moreover, decided that it is not necessary to call Parliament together in December. It ia understood, however, that Ministers decided that when Parliament meetß in the ordinary course a Bill shall be introduced to deal with the Irish land question.
