Nov. 23, Bteftmer Charles Edward, 125, Whitwell, for Wellington. 24, ketch Argus, 36, Williams, for Pelorue Sound. The Charles Edward arrived at Wellington this morning, and leaves there for Nelson this evening. The Murray leaves Hckilika for Greymo «! h to-morrow. The Wallace leaves Hokitika for the Sounds to-morrow. The Dido is now due from Oamaru with a cargo of produce for Mr Levien. The Croydtn Lbss is ou her way from Oamaru with a full cargo of cats for Mr Davis. The Lady Barkly leaves for Golden Bay at 7 30 to-night. The Grafton arrived at Wellington this morninp. The Lyttelton sailed for Blenheim at 4 o'clock t his afternoon. The Kennedy sailed for West Coast ports at 3 o'clock this nfternocn. The Wanaka arrived at Wellington this tnorninsr, and was to leave there for Lyttelton at i p m. The Hawea left New Plymouth at 0 o'clock this morningr, will arrive here tonight, nnd sail for Picton, Wellington, and Xyttclton at 1 o'clock to morrow afternocn. The Taiaroa leaves Wellington at noon to-morrow, will arrive here on Friday morning, and sail for Taranaki and Manukau at 3 p.m. same day. The Wakatu arrived from Wangamii yesterday afternoon, and sails for Wanganui and Wellington at 7'30 to-night. The Ro'omahana will be the next steamer for Melbourne. She leaves Wellington on Monday, and passengers will be forwarded to her by the Hawea ir-morrow. The next of the Orient Line of steamers for Plymouth will be the Liguria, which leaves Melbourne on December H. The last opportunity of catching her will be by the Kotomahnna. The Potosi follows her on December 28 The Cunard Company, not to be outdone by the Orient, have concluded a contract with Messrs J. and G. Thompson, of the Clyde, to build a ship, the size of which will be exceeded only by the Great Eastern. The Sahara, for such is to be the name of the new steamer, will be built of steel. She will be 7600 tons burden and 10,000 horsepower, and will be able to carry 450 firstclass and 000 steerage passengers, aud 6500 tons of rago.
