This is sufficiently pr.ved by Caswell Sound Marble securing the flrat prize at the late Sidney Exhibition against Italian Statuary and other valuable varieties They also wish to dwelt upon its known certainty and ncn-epeculative character, the ultimate BueceßS of this venture being now wen fstablished. '/he lowest quotation for this Marble is 12s per foot, and ranges up to £5. Large blocks are, however, much more valuable, some pure white tt*tuary, without flawt, realising »• much as £20,000 sterlitg in Europe ; the ordinary price for a block •uitable for a life-size human statue being about £1000, The present cost of producing this marble by manual labor only is about 2b per cubic foot, f.o b. These figures may appear mci edible, but they »re nevertheless ab«olutely correct. Thus, takiog the cott oi production as stated, and the very loweet wholesale quotation at 12 per foot, gives the apparently fabulous minimum rate of 500 per cent profit It is, therefore, do visionary matter, as these we lending commercial lines and the valueß well-known, the facilities of prrduc'ion, shipment, high quality of product, giving a vast advantage over any like property in the worW. We will also venture to predict that the value of ths Ccmpany's ►hares will increase at Jeaßt 300 per cent wi'hin twrlve months of issue. Referring to consumption i f these commodities, it ia also enormous. The consumption of Marble, Portland Cement, and Lime in tl c Australian Colonies alone during the last twelve months has been £2.^72,600 sterling, and rapidly increasing.
