The LytteUon left Wellington for Nelson at eight o'clock last night. The Murray arrived from Wanganui yesferday afternoon. She leaves for West Coast ports at 2 p.m. to-morrow. The Charles Edward left for the Coast at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon, and arrived tt Westport at 11 o'clock this morniDg. The schooner Uco, bound from the Wairau for this port, was lying at the French Pass yesterday. . The Richard and Mary arrived from Oarnaru this morning, with a cargo of grain. Tbe Penguin arrived at Wellington on Saturday night, and, after receiving the Sourthern portion of the mail from the Taiaroa, sailed for New Plymouth yesterday afternoon. The Taiaroa left Wellington at noon today, will arrive here to morrow morning, and sail for Picton, Wellington, and South by the same tide at noon. The Wakatu arrived from Wangamri yesferday morning, and returns to the same port at 9 p.ro to-morrow. Tbe Graf ton arrived from West Coast ports at 9 o'clock this morning, and sailed for Wellington and South by the same tide. The Kennedy, which has just had a thorough overhaul, made a trial trip on Saturday afternoon, when a number of people took advantage of the fine weather prevailing to have a trip in the bay. She proceeded as far as Pepin Island, and on the return home the engines, which worked splendidly throughout, drove her along at a high rate of speed, and the new blades with which the propeller has been fitted fully realised tbe results which were expected of them. *The steamer has been cleaned, painted, and varnished all over, which gives her a very smart appearance.
