Tbe Post pivea tbe following summary of tbe provisions of this Bill, the lull text of which has not yet reached us:— Section 1 provides that this Bill shall be! read end construed together with The Property Asfleeameot Act, 1879, and the two Acta together may be cited as Tbe Property Absessment Acts, 1879-1880. Section 2 runs 83 follows: — To the classes of property exempt from taxation under the said Act as mentioned in section 26, there shall be added the following: — " All household, furniture and e.ffeoss in actual ÜBe, including books, p!at<\ wearing apparel, jewellery of all kinds, ao<3 all pictures and works of on; but ouch exemption shall uot extend to or include any such articles when kept or used as stock in trade and for purposes of Bale." Section 3 is as follows: — "The statement to be furnished under the thirty - second section of The Property, Assessment Act, 1879, (hereinafter called ' tbe said Act '), shall be in the form or to : the effect set forth in the schedule to jtbis Act. All provisions of the said, jAct which are inconsistent withthis'section are hereby repealed."
