MOTUEKA MAGISTRATES' COURT.

[Before C. Parker and F. Jellicoe, Esqs., J.J.P.] (August 19.) M'Nabb Vs Fowler, for assault. — Defendant was fined 20s and costs l§s. The witnesses expenses were also allowed. Lines v. Guy, tor illegally entering |upon land and driving cattle to tbe pound, the provisions of the Impounding Act not having been complied with. Defendant was fined 10s and costs 11s, and allowance to witnesses. The evidence in both the above cases was very conflicting. Rose v. Simpson, for illegally entering upon and ploughing land,— -This case was adjourned until September 15th for further evidence. Simpson v. Chamberlain, for illegal impoundiug and damage to cattle therefrom. — The defendant being ill, the case was adjourned to the September Court. Several small debt cases were also disposed of, and others were settled out of Court! The Court did not break up until half-past four in the afternoon.
