London, May 17. The Australians commenced their second match to-day at Derby, where they met the Eleven of Derbyshire. The Australians went first to the wickets and scored 192 in their innings. Bannerman making the top score of 32. The English team then went in, and the Australians succeeded in getting them all out for 45 runs. In this innings, Spofforth and Palmer each took five wickets. Derbyshire then followed their innings, and when the stumps were drawn for the day they had made 21 runs with the loss of one wicket. The weather during the whole day's play was fine, and the ground was lively and suited the Australians. May 18. The Eii?ht Hon G. J. Goschen has started for Constantinople where he will temporarily act as special ambassador for Great Britain to the Porte.
