RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT
[Before L. Broad, Esq., R.M.] Sarah Anthony v. James Anthony (of Wanganui). Action to recover £39 for one year's maintenance at 15s per week. Mr Atkinson appeared for the plaintiff. It appeared that Mr Anthony, sen. at his death, left bis property to his son, subject to certain legacies, and to the condition that he should provide for his mother for Ihe rest of her life, which he bad neglected to do. Judg ment for amount claimed and costs £3 13. Bettany v. Steer. — Action to recover £25 6s Bd, amount of promissory note. Mr Moore appeared for the plaintiff and Mr Bunny for the defendant. Judgment for amount c aimed and coats £3 15s.
