The Lady Barkly sailed for Golden Bay Lut nigbt. The Murray is expected to arrive at Westport this afternoon. The Lyttelton arrived at Blenheim from Wellington this morning. She leaves there again for Nelaon to-morrow. The Wallnce is expected back from WangmaDi to-morrow moruing, and is announced to sail for Wellington at uoon. The Patea arrived from Patea this morning. She returns to the same port at 6 n m on Friday r The Waitaki left New Plymouth at 10 o'clock this morning, will arrive here tonight, and sail for Picton aud Wellington at soon to-morrow. The Wellington leaves Wellington this afternoon, will arrive here to morrow morning, and sail for Taranaki and Manukau at 2 p.m. on Saturday. The next steamer for Sydney will be the Botomabana, which leaves Auckland on Tuesday next. Passengers for her will be forwarded by the Wellington on Saturday. The Wakato made a good run across the Straits, having arrived at Wanganui at two o clock this morning, after covering the 126 miles in !2| hours. She leave* there tomorrow : afternooD, and will arrive here on Saturday morning. The Tararoa should reach Wellington tomorrow morning. She leaves there on the return trip to Melbourne on Monday. Two vessels left Lyttellon for Durville's Island one day last week, but for what purpose it is not stated. Preliminaries in connection with the Charles Edward are being pushed on rapidly, «nd daylight is to be seen through her in •everal places. She was knocked about a good deal while on shore at Greymonth. the •fter part of her apparently having suffered •be most. The repairs will necessarily be extensive, but notwithstanding this it is expected that she will be ready for sea at the latter end of the year. The Kennedy arrived here this morning at 11 o clock from West Coast ports. She left Nelson on Wednesday, 29th instant, at noon, arriving off the Buller Bar at 7 a.m. on the 30th, and crossing it at 10 a.m. : left at 10 p.m. for Hokitika, crossing the bar there at II a.m. on the 31»t } left at »0 a.m. on the ist for Greymouth, arriving there at 12.20 and was detained there until Tuesday 4th instwnt for the outgoing San Francisco mail, when «,..*.* * p m> for Weßt Port. crossing the Bailer Bar at 11.30 pm. ; left at 130 pm. yesterday, arriving here as above. Experienced light S.W. winds during the passage up. The Kennedy sails for Opunake at 3 p.m. to-morrow.
