Captain R. A. Edwin reports: — " Watch barometer; bad weather approaching; any direction between north and west aad southwest. Glass will fall again soon." The Murray arrived at Weatport from Nelson at 9 o'clock this morning. The Wallace arrived from Wanganui last night, and sailed for Wellington direct at 4 p.m. to-day. There is nothing further regarding the -doings of the Maori on the West Coast. The Lady Barkly is announced to make an excursion to Clova Bay, leaving here at 9 p.m. to-morrow, and returning on Monday night. No doubt she will he largely patronised. The Patea will arrive here from Patea tomorrow morning, and return to the Bame port on Sunday. The Wakatu waa towed down to Mr Franzen's wharf this morning, and will there be got ready for sea. The Wellington leaves Wellington this afternoon, will arrive here to-morrow morning and sail for Taranaki and Manukau by the same tide at 11-30 a.m. The Claud Hamilton arrived in harbor at 11-30 am. to-day, nnder tbe command of Captain Calder. She arrived off Hokitika on Monday night, and was knocking about off there until Wednesday evening, when ahe sailed for Greymontb, but was unable to he tendered there owing to the heavy sea running. The Claud Hamilton has a large number of passengers on board, most of whom are for Wellington. She sails for that port to-night. The Taiaroa arrived at the outer anchorage *t 10*35 p.m. yesterday— jast too late to catch the evening tide. She consequently came to an anchor, and entered the harbor this morning. She left Onehunga at 8-30 tun. on vVednesday, and experienced a N.W. gale with heavy sea to New Plymouth, arriving off that port early yesterday morning; landed mails, and passengers, but in consequence of the heavy sea running was only able to laad one boat load of cargo; proceeded on to Nelsoa at 8 am., arriviag here as above. Tbe Taiaroa sailed for Pieton and Wellington by the same tide at 10 a.m.
