GOODS DELIVERED TO ALL PABIS OF IHE CITT NOTICE. "f PURE VOLATILE EUCALYPTUS GLOBULUS EXTBACT TTNDER the Distinguished Patronage of \J his Majesty the King of Italy, at Borne, according to communication received from the Consul-General for Italy, at Melbourne, upon instruction- from the Minister for Foreign Affairs, dated 1 4th Marcb, 1878. We are informed that dealers in medicine often try to sell the eucalyptus oil found in the trade instead of our Eucalyptus Extracts Ko far as the committing of imposition against the public in such a case is concerned, tho, consequences would not be serious; but Bathe qualities of both of the products are fn many cases directly opposed to one another, we consider it onr duty to direct the public attention to the following facta :— The eucalyptus oil is recorded to be of value as a medicament in casea of rheumatism of secondary nature, and manifests a drawing, blistering effect upon the s.in. Any blistering brought en by the application ot a medicament must increase inflammation, aad it is therefore evident that in cases of wounds, colds, bronchitis, diphtheria, croup, sprains, etc.. the enrative power of our extract on the named dheises teing unquestionably proved by former publications in this paper. An application of the ( oil'< instead of our extract must impair the diseased. The truth of onr assertion is founded iipon the fact that the oil is a resinous produce equivalent to coma on turpentine, its market value being about three shillings one pound weight ; our extract consists of the evaporating particles of the gum leaves, soothing and healing in ita efii eta, its price being twenty-four shillings for one pound weight. | Our extract, tbe genuine article is only made up in half-ounce and one-ounce vials ; vials ! bearing on the labels our trade mark and signature.
