STRANDING OF THE KENNEDY.

We regret to learn that the Anchor Line steamer Kennedy, when attempting to cross the Hokitika bar on Saturday afternoon, got ashore on the North Spit, where a telegram of this afternoon informs us that she is still ashore. The whole of the cargo was landed yesterday. By means of a winch placed on the South Spit she was shifted a distance of eight feet by this morning's tide. She is not expected to be afloat before Wednesday.
