DEATH OF AN OLD NELSON SETTLER.
A telegram from Blenheim informs us of the death of Mrs Redwood, at the ripe old age of 84 years. It must be some 38 lyears since Mr apd Mrs Redwood With tbeir family arrived in Nelsoh) aud uutil the iast four or nve years Atf 3 Redwood resided iv Waimea West, where she and her husband were well kuown as geuial, hospitable, old settlers of the rigbt stamp. Shortly after old Mr Redwood's death Mrs Redwood removed to the Wairau, where several of her sons and dabgbters had settled, and amongst tbem, and a large circle of giandchildren and great grandchildren, the old lady has spent the last years of, her life respected and honored by all who knew her.
