St. Peteksbueg, April 20. Very serious riots have occurred at Rostoff, when great excesses were committed. The troops were called ont and restored order. Russia is virtually in a state of siege. London, April 21. News from Capetown, dated Bth April states that Lord Chelmsford reached Gungholora on the 6th. His troopa en countered a large force of Zulus on the 2nd. Severe engagement ensued, when 1200 Zulus were killed. The British loss is not stated.
