Mr J. R. Mabin reports that at the sale of Mr George Ashcroft's furniture &c. on the Ist insr., there was a good attendance, and the bidding brisk. Drawing-room suite in walnut upholstered, with Utrecht velvet, brought £18 SOs; piano was bought in. No! 8 Trafford range, £4; chea t drawers, £3< dining table, 455 ; pier glass, £3 3b ; cheffomer, £2 10s; 100 table, 425; part of dinner service, 27s 6d, single iron bedstead, 23sdouble wooden bedstead, 20s ; horsehair mattrass, 40. There was a large quantity of other household requisites all of which Drought satisfactory prices. Yesterday he sold the furniture, cattle, &c. at the Wakeneld Arms, Wakefield. Cows in milk and lv *' bron « nt ** 5s each; heifer and cow, tu 8 2 each; pair of w <>rking bullocks with yokes and bows, £15 the lot; dog cart £9-, young Berkshire pigs, 5a 9deacn ; ducks 4a per pair; two aged horses, £2 and £3 Previous to the sale of above the contents of the premises were sold.
