TPREBS AGENCY.! Wellington, Tuesday. At a largely attended meeting held last night resolutions were passed in favor of substituting Climie's Drainage Scheme for that of Clarke's; and that the Mayor be requested to take a vote of the ratepayers as to which scheme should be finally adopted. Wellington, Tuesday. The Hinemoa leaves at 4o'clock this afternoon taking Sir George Grey and Col. Whitmore, the former to Kawau and the latter to Napier. CHKisTCHuncii, Tuesday. An accident, not attended with serious results, occurred to the South express train at the Ashburton Station, where it ran into a siding, coming into collision with the engine of a goods train standing there. The engine was slightly damaged. The accident occurred through the carelessness of the shunter, who should have seen that the points were locked. After a delay of fifteen miuutes, the train proceeded south. No passengers were hurt, but a man on the engine was slightly injured.
