The Ringarooma arrived at the Bluff this afternoon. The Lady Barkly leaves for Golden Bay at seven o'clock to-night. The Patea sailed for Patea at 5*20 p.m. yesterday.The Lyttelton arrived at Kekerangu this morning, and commenced work though the beach is not very smooth. The Kennedy left Hokitika for Greymouth this morning. Provided the nigbt be fine she will leave Greymouth at midnight. The Murray left for West Coast ports at 11 a.m. to-day. The Wallace arrived at Wanganui this morning, and leaves on the return trip tonight. r The Zealandia, with the San Francisco mail, has not yet arrived at Auckland. The Taiaroa will await her arrival, so that she cannot arrive here before Thureday. The Wellington arrived in harbor at eight o'clock thi3 morning, having left Picton late last evening. She returned to Picton and Wellington by. the same tide at 10 30 a.m., after landing and shipping cargo. • Nearly all tbe water has been pumped out of theHydrabad by means of a powerful steam centrifugal pump, and an attempt will shortly be made to float her. The Pelorus arrived in harbor ati pm to-day, having left Nydia Bay at 2 o'clock this morning. She has been engaged in towing logs in the Pelorus Sound, hence the cause of her not arriving here before. The Pelorna leavea for Harelock tomorrow evening. The iStad Haarlem, the first ocean steamer from London to New Zealand, will be due at Lyttelton next week. Her agents here, Mews Scjaaders and Co., advertise that a plan of the Stad's cabin can be seen at their office. Those who intend going Home by this vessel would do well to secure berths at once. The Orient Steam Company are building a 2£ an, *f, 01 ? 11 ? *<* the Austrian trade. _he will be one of the largest "ocean steamers afloat, being over 5000 tons, and wUI be ready for sea at the end of the present year, bhe will be called the Orient, and will carry 140 saloon, 150 second, and 300 third class passengers, and about 4000 tons of cargo The saloon accommodation will be forward second and third aft. J. Elder and Co are the builders. The engines will be 750 horse power nominal.
