To THE EIJITOIi OX' THE ' EvKXIXO M-VIL.' Slit,— Will you kindly allow me through the medium of your columns to ask the electors of Nelson one ijuestioh. Can a gentleman soliciting your suffrages who has publicly requested the electors Not to Pledge their Votes, conscientiously undertake ft house to house canvass ? Knowing also that the glorious institution of a ballot is to be goue through, an institution that I am proud to say for the last 30 years I have been a staunch advocate of.— l am, &c, Ak Ei ector.
