The CITY ELECTION.

To Tne Editor of the 'Evening Mail.' Sir,— l was much surprised to learn that Mr Acton Adams, one of the candidates at tbe ensuing election was present in the Roman Catholic Church at yesterday morning's service. After his" speech at the Provincial HaU on the Education Question on Friday eveuing last, I cannot understand such a proceeding on his part. Is he so soon convinced that the views he expressed in his speech were erroneous ancl was he by his action yesterday morning attempting to obtain the votes of those whose religion he so lately assailed ? Yours &c, An Elector.
